Zane Williams Really IS “Bringin’ Country Back”

If you are a Zane Williams fan or you keep up with the latest Texas Country news, you know that Zane released a new single called “Bringin’ Country Back” in July. After talking to him, he really is “Bringin’ Country Back!” We briefly spoke with the Texas musician about his upcoming show at The Hub City BBQ on Thursday evening. Here’s what he had to say:

1. What is your BBQ of choice?

– Chopped brisket!

2. You win a trip and have 500,000 to spend, where do you go?

– I’m thinking fishing, hunting, and hiking in Alaska.  And take a private jet up and back to burn up some of that money. Ha.

3. Where is your favorite place you have ever played? City or venue whichever is fine

– Love and War in Texas in Plano, TX is basically my home base where I really first experienced the Texas music scene and started building a fan base.  I still love to play there occasionally.  The Grand Ole Opry wasn’t too bad either.

4. What is your favorite memory of your career? Whether it be a specific show, rowdy fans, an album etc.

– So far I’d have to say headlining Gruene Hall for the first time a couple of months ago and selling it out.  Definitely the most tuned-in, energetic crowd we’ve ever played to.

5. What was your very first job?

– Singing bass and beat boxing in an acapella Christian group for Abilene Christian University. Ha. I’m glad YouTube wasn’t around then…
