Black Plumbing Star Student Bryson Stone

We’re excited to recognize our first Black Plumbing Star Student of the Month Bryson Stone! He was nominated by his teacher Shelbie Hannum! He’s a senior at Tahoka. Here’s what his teacher said about Bryson:

“It is indeed an honor and privilege to be writing a letter of recommendation on behalf of Bryson Stone for scholarship consideration. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bryson for the past eight years as his Agricultural Science teacher and FFA advisor. He is an outstanding young man with many fine qualities. Bryson is well deserving of any award that he receives.Bryson is very active in our local Tahoka FFA chapter. His supervised agricultural entrepreneurships included production and exhibition of market steers and market barrows, and a placement SAE working for Stone Farms. Bryson also is a partner in a small cow/calf herd with his brothers called S3 Cattle. Bryson has proven himself well inside and outside of the show ring by placing several cattle at each Texas major livestock show as well as managing finances and time while feeding and showing his market projects. Bryson works an average of 35 hours per week on a row crop farm performing various tasks. This fall, he was the head of a farm crew during harvest season tarping modules and assisting operating equipment where needed. Bryson also works very closely with his brothers making breeding decisions, feed rationing, calving and marketing beef cattle for S3. Bryson excels in many areas of the FFA. He has served as a chapter officer for four years, and has played a pivotal role in the growth of our chapter serving as the chapter President this year. Bryson is also serving as an Area Two Association Vice President, and has served as a district officer as well. Bryson has also participated on several chapter competitive teams, CDE and LDE. He possesses great public speaking skills as well as problem solving and evaluation skills he displayed well while competing; qualifying for State in livestock evaluation, ag sales and prepared public speaking. Bryson’s achievements and leadership positions within the FFA organization speak volumes of his involvement and dedication to his chapter and peers.Bryson’s worth ethic is unwavering and truly sets him apart from others his age. He has always been a student that I could rely on completing tasks and putting in the extra effort. His humble character and heart of gold makes him the ideal mentor for younger students and I hope that one day my own children mimic Bryson’s moral standards. His devotion and dedication to everything he applies himself in is unmatched. His passion for the Agriculture industry drives him greatly and I have no doubt that he will make a large impact in the future.”
